Starting with an opportunity via the Lean Enterprise Australia, I have been visiting and learning directly from Toyota managers since 2010. The photo above is a recent visit to TMC with the Safety team from Keolis Downer (Yarra Trams) where I have been supporting the implementation of visual management and practical problem solving. TMC has always been generous with their time and access to my learning of the Toyota production System and Toyota Business Practice, which is very different to what can be learnt in courses and in the Lean literature.
